Holidays over!

The holidays are over for most of us and I trust many of you were able to enjoy some time of rest and relaxation.

As has become a fixture in our church calendar the final week of the school holidays is Holiday Club week and I would like to take the opportunity to thank all those who have helped in different ways. Many of the helpers and children are, of course, not with us this morning as they are participating in the Holiday Club family service at Gilcomston South.

I also want to give notice of not one but two forthcoming congregational meetings; the phrase ‘too much of a good thing’ does come to mind!

Wednesday 29th August at 7:30pm – Annual Business Meeting

Sunday 2nd September – Congregational Meeting

The second meeting is for the purpose of the Deacon’s Court bringing a proposal in relation to the church building and will take place immediately following the morning service in the large hall. More details to follow.

Can I finally remind folk that the Neighbourhood Fellowships recommence this week? If you have not participated in the past I would encourage you to do so. Just ask if you are unsure as to times and locations.

Congregational Outing – Saturday 8th September (2pm – 5pm) at Hillview Community Church (formerly International Baptist Church) in Cults. This will be afternoon of fun and fellowship for ALL ages!

This year we hope to have a bouncy castle, games, face painting, BBQ, a time of praise and of course our annual egg toss!

For the Senior Citizens there will be afternoon tea and scones.

We would love to see you there.
