Congratulations

Yesterday we had the final morning of 2010 / 2011 session of the Free Church College Saturday course held here in Bon Accord.

Congratulations to John Clibborn, Jo George, and Chris George who successfully completed the Certificate in Theology programme. Some may be thinking... ‘I don't recognise those names'. There's a reason for that... they are all from Gilcomston South C of S! While I am delighted for and grateful to friends from Gilc for their involvement it is a little bemusing the lack of participants from our own congregation (I should say we do have a faithful handful from Bon Accord who have audited the course). We will have to consider whether we can continue providing this opportunity in the coming academic year, any expressions of interest from the congregation would serve as an encouragement in this regard.

On the subject of the Church of Scotland let's remember to pray for them as they meet in General Assembly next week. In particular may those who seek to remain faithful to Scripture be given wisdom and authority as they participate in the assembly. We must, of course, also pray for our own General Assembly meeting a week Monday. From Bon Accord we will have Bill MacLelland serving as a commissioner.
