International Students Meal for RGU students: Bon Accord is hosting the RGU international students’ meal on Thursday 13 September. We would like donations of juice (either long life fruit juice or fizzy juice) and fruit which will be in date on 13 Sept. Please bring donations to the church before next Thursday.

Student congregational lunch: Lunch will be held on 23 September after the morning service to welcome new and returning students. If anyone would like to help with providing puddings please speak to Wilma N.  This is a good opportunity to meet and get to know our students and young people. All are welcome.

Bon Accord Lunches:

16 Sept - Student-led lunch for all students and young adults

23 Sept - Congregational Lunch for all

30 Sept - Beginning of the Hospitality Group Lunches

Hospitality Lunches involve matching a group of students/young workers with a family of the congregation who promise to feed you at least once a term (there's nothing wrong with chasing them up about it!) If you'd like to be added to one of our Hospitality Lunch groups please speak to John MacPherson.

Activities for Students/Young Adults in September:

16 Sept - Open House at the Merediths following the evening service

30 Sept - TBC (awaiting confirmation from Andy Holt - the CU staff worker)

Girls Bible Study: This bible study group is for all older teens, students and young workers. The first Bible study is on Thursday 13 September at Daisy, Kathryn and Katie's flat at 7pm. Any questions please contact Daisy

Adult Sunday School: The weekly class, bible and Bagels, meets from 10:00-10:45am in the small hall. We will be continuing “From Dust to Glory” by R.C. Sproul. If you are interested in being a facilitator or have any questions, please see Jason Chambers. Activities for under 7s will be available.

WfM Away Day: This takes place on Saturday 15 September in Inverness. The theme is “Prayer – Keep the conversation flowing”. More information can be found on the web site www.womenformission.org/away-day . This is a great opportunity to worship God together and meet old friends and make new ones. There are also craft tables with potential Christmas presents available!

Are you ready?

What is the best gift God could give you? Are you ready to explore?

Life Explored begins on Thursday 4 October for six Thursdays.  Is there someone you could take along with you to explore some of life's big questions?  See the September newsletter for more details.

NF Study Guide: The new NF Guide: Empowered is now available for collection priced £3.00.  It will be available as follows:

Sunday 9 September at the morning and evening services from Iain Smith

As always., tendering the correct amount would be helpful.

Containers, Dishes and Trays: There are a variety of baking trays, plastic containers etc that have been left in the kitchen.  We will leave them on the table in the large hall over the next two Sundays for you to pick up! Please check if any belong to you. If they have not been reclaimed we will put them to a charity shop.

Photographs: Judy is in the process of photographing all office bearers (and their spouses/families), Sunday School teachers, and leaders of the various ministries at Bon Accord. These will be used for notice boards in the downstairs halls and in the church’s new information packets. Please be prepared for photos. Judy will be taking these on Sundays for the next several weeks.
