Mission Fund 2022
As a church we are thankful to God to be able to share our financial resources generously with our mission partners in Aberdeen, Scotland and around the World. The full list of our mission partners for 2022 can be found in the February newsletter.
In response to God’s grace given freely to us we seek to give cheerfully and sacrificially, so that others too may know His grace.
If you would like to support the work of Bon Accord Mission Fund to help us reach our target of £30,000 in 2022 you can speak to Christine or Alastair (our church treasurers) or use the bank details below. You can choose to give regularly, via a standing order, or a one-off donation. Any cash donated on a Sunday evening is also allocated to the Mission Fund.

Wanted – Surplus Harris Tweed for Margaret Smith
In my spare time I make crafts to raise funds for WfM projects. This often involves upcycling fabrics, particularly Harris Tweed, to make:
- bags of all shapes and sizes
- phone covers
- ipad covers
- cafetiere covers
Over the years I have been very fortunate to have friends who have given me Harris Tweed they no longer have a use for, also skirts, waistcoats and jackets no longer worn. However, my supplies of Harris Tweed fabric and labels are now sadly depleted.
If anyone has any unwanted Harris Tweed or Harris Tweed labels they would like to pass on, please contact me:
- by phone on 07753 161642, or
Prayer Points for the week ahead:
- Pray for Anne, our student worker, as she meets with the students week by week for conversation and Bible Study. Pray that God would help her as she builds relationships with them and points them to them to Christ.
- Pray for the people who live around us in the community of Rosemount. Give thanks for the work of The Well Drop in Café that happens every Wednesday afternoon. Pray for the people that stop by for a coffee and conversation. Pray for many opportunities to share the love of Christ.
- Thank God for those who have visited Bon Accord for the first time over recent months. Pray that the Lord would help us establish relationships and the Holy Spirit would be at work drawing each to Christ.
City and Nation
They are currently without a minister. Pray that the Lord would guide the congregation as they look for the man of his choosing.
- Castletown & Community
Please pray that the Lord will provide elders for the congregation. Please also pray that we ‘may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge – that we may be filled to all the fulness of God.’
From Craig Anderson: Things are progressing well and I look forward to building on my partnership with Buccleuch Free Church. Please pray for wisdom for decisions that need to be made and for more people who can partner with us in prayer, finances or moving with us to Galashiels to join us in this work.
- Lakhnadon Christian Hospital – India
Give thanks that Lakhnadon Christian Hospital has restarted clinical services after a break of a few years. The new surgeon and new psychiatrist are committed to serve the Lord there and they have gained the necessary registration for the hospital under the new Government regulations. Inpatient services have been delayed because one staff member tested positive for Covid-19, but outpatient and casualty services are ongoing. Give thanks that no staff were seriously injured in a recent serious road accident. Pray for a quick recovery and the repair of the vehicle.
Pray for all the missions and individuals identified within our 2022 Mission Budget, that our giving would bless and encourage those who receive it. Give thanks for such generosity in our own congregation and pray it would continue into the coming year.
