Midsummer Evening Hillwalk – Clachnaben – June 17th

On Friday 17th June a few of us are hoping to do an evening hill walk up Clachnaben to enjoy the sunset and hopefully stunning views of Aberdeenshire!

The hill walk will take around 3 hours and is around 9km in length.

We will meet at the Glen Dye car park at 7pm and finish up around 10pm.

Dogs are welcome but will need to be kept on the lead during certain sections of the walk due to the sheep.

If you would like to come please let Angus (07843172313) or Judy (07449775270) know by 12th June so we can arrange lifts and car shares if necessary.

Please bring with you sturdy walking shoes, a waterproof jacket, a torch, water, snacks and a flask of something warm to enjoy at the top.

The walk has some uneven parts and some steep sections. However, it is suitable for most people with moderate fitness, older children and teenagers.

Here is the link to the walk on the Walk Highland website:

Prayer Meeting and Neighbourhood Fellowships

Over the next few weeks in our fortnightly Prayer Meetings, and Neighbourhood Fellowships we are going to be looking at the theme of friendship using the book ‘True Friendship’ by Vaughan Roberts. There are copies of the book available for a small donation of £3. Please pick your copy up in the foyer.

Congregational Lunch – 19th June

After two long years without one, we are planning a congregational lunch on the 19th of June. Pop the date in your diary and come and join us for a time of food and friendship after the morning service. All are welcome!

Prayer Points for the Week Ahead

Our Church

Our City and Nation

Pray for the Holiday Club and Legacy being run in the summer, for team members who will be able to serve and for children to come and hear the gospel perhaps for the first time.

Give thanks for recent additions to the congregation and pray they would integrate effectively into the ongoing mission of the church to the North Black Isle and beyond.

Pray that the Lord would direct the decisions made and bless the time to the building up of his church in Scotland.

Pray that the leadership will be given wisdom and grace for the way forward as restrictions are lifted.

Give thanks for all the leaders and campers going to camps this summer. Pray that these would be good for the spiritual growth of our young people – especially leaders and campers going from Bon Accord.

Our Mission Partners

Pray for the Toastie Club that meets every Wednesday at lunchtime. Pray for opportunities to share the gospel with those who come.

Pray for those in our city who are struggling with homelessness, addiction, mental health issue and loneliness and for those in Bethany who reach out to them with both physical and spiritual help.

Our World

Pray that imprisoned Christians and their families will be sustained by God’s grace and presence. Pray for wisdom, discernment and boldness for believers as they seek to meet together. Ask God to protect Christians who convert from Islam, or who join a church outside of the Orthodox tradition.
