Church Suite – Contact Details Required
At Bon Accord we are excited to introduce ChurchSuite. I hope the little teaser at church last Sunday will have you looking forward to this new development in the life of Bon Accord and how it will help us grow together as a church family.
What is ChurchSuite?
ChurchSuite is an excellent way to help us to stay connected to one another, communicate well with one another, keep up to date with all that is going on in the life of our church, and welcome new people into our church family.
You will soon be able to download an app to your phone (or view on your desktop) an up-to-date church directory, view rotas that you are serving on and easily arrange swaps, communicate with groups that you are part of, and see what is coming up in the church calendar and much more.
Church Suite is secure and fully GDPR compliant. It is by invitation only, so will only be used by those who attend Bon Accord.
You should have received an email from me this week asking you to fill in a form with your contact details and consent.
If you have not received this email:
1. Please check your spam folders and if you still can’t find it……
2. Email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and I will send it to you or speak to me in person on Sunday.
We would love everyone who is part of Bon Accord to be in our church directory. If you do not use a computer or smartphone you will receive a printed copy of the church directory.
Please fill out your form by Friday May 20th if you have not already done so.
Photos for the Church Directory
Over the next two Sundays 22nd May and the 29th May we will be taking photos for the church directory.
Having your photo in our new church directory will be so helpful so we can put faces to the names!
I promise the process will be painless and take less than one minute.
New Song - Sunday Evening 15th May
On Sunday evening we will be singing a new song called 'Come, Behold the Wondrous Mystery.'
If you get a chance, listen to the song before Sunday to familiarise yourself with both the tune and the lyrics.
Craig Anderson's Prayer Letter and May Monthly Record
The latest prayer letter from Craig Anderson and the May Monthly Record are both available now and can be picked up from the table at the back of the church.
Prayer Meeting and Neighbourhood Fellowships
Over the next few weeks in our fortnightly Prayer Meetings, and Neighbourhood Fellowships we are going to be looking at the theme of friendship using the book ‘True Friendship’ by Vaughan Roberts. There are copies of the book available for a small donation of £3. Please pick your copy up in the foyer.
If you are unable to manage in-person to the Prayer Meeting, you can join us on Zoom. Please note that the zoom details remain the same week to week.
WfM AGM – 21 May at 2 pm
This year’s AGM will be held at Perth Free Church. There will be a variety of different speakers including the financial report. The 2022/2023 projects will also be announced.
After the meeting, there will be an opportunity for fellowship over coffee, sandwiches and cake!
If anyone would like a lift to Perth please speak to Wilma N.
Congregational Lunch – 19th June
After two long years without one, we are planning a congregational lunch on the 19th June. Pop the date in your diary and come and join us for a time of food and friendship after the morning service. All are welcome!

Prayer Points for the Week Ahead

Our Church
Our City and Nation
Pray for the growth of the church - for people to return after the pandemic; for church-less Christians find a church family to call home; for prodigals to return; for the children of the church to confess Christ for themselves at an early age and for people in the community with no previous Christian understanding to be wonderfully won to the Lord.
Please pray for the plans for our Parents and Toddlers group to come together. Pray for the team as they prepare and work through how we can maximise the opportunity to reach out to the families in our local community.
Our Mission Partners
Give thanks that Galashiels Free Church have been able to book the Community Centre for their afternoon meetings from September onwards.
Praise God that the first year of the church plant is now fully funded.
Continue to pray for the Anderson family as they seek a suitable home for them and that Charis and Peter will be given a place at Nursery.
Pray that they would be able to find a suitable worker/s to replace Craig when he moves to Galashiels and work alongside Andy Roberston.
Our World
Pray for those suffering in Ukraine, for peace to return and their loss to be limited. Pray that the Lord would restrain the violence. Pray especially for Christians in Ukraine not to lose faith, but to look to Christ and cling to him in their loss.
If you have any news items or prayer points for next week please email them by 5pm on Thursday.
