Giving

At Bon Accord we understand that giving financially to the church is a joyful response that flows from hearts transformed by the grace of Jesus.

If you would like to give regularly to the work of Bon Accord, we encourage this through standing order or a bank transfer.

The bank details are:

Bon Accord Free Church – Royal Bank of Scotland

Account number: 00610101

Sort Code: 83-15-31

If you are a UK taxpayer, completing a gift aid declaration in favour of Bon Accord Free Church would increase the value of your donations by 25% as the church can claim an additional amount from HMRC at no additional cost to you.  If you are setting up a new standing order, or are already donating but don't yet have a gift aid declaration in place, please contact the treasurers to obtain a gift aid form for completion

Prayer Points for the week ahead:

Our Church

  • Pray for the Hope Explored course that has just finished, that those who attended might grow closer to Christ and those who were invited might have further opportunity to hear about the hope we have in Christ.

  • Continue to pray for our teenagers and students who are in the middle of sitting exams. This is the first time in two years that they have sat in-person exams. Pray that they would be able to focus on their studies and not be anxious but would trust in God who will meet all of their needs.

  • Thank God for his undeserved friendship in Christ, the friend of sinners. Pray that our relationships in Bon Accord might grow and deepen as we consider Christ’s friendship towards us as a church. Pray that God would help us deeply love the family he is creating her by his grace.

Our City and Nation

  • Broughty Ferry

Pray for God's guidance regarding the future as we make plans and set up strategies to continue to reach out to our community. As we emerge from the last two year's restrictions, pray for a renewed sense of fellowship among the church.

  • Edinburgh Theological Seminary

As the seminary moves into exam season pray for all the students as they begin to revise. Also, pray for those being presented awards for their studies at the ETS Awards Ceremony on Friday 13th May 2022. Give thanks to God for all He has done and will do, through them.

  • Glen Urquhart and Fort Augustus

Please pray for our group in Fort Augustus, that God would help us be salt and light in the community and have the confidence in Jesus to invite others to our Sunday afternoon gathering. Between ill health and various commitments, a number of our Glen church family have been unable to attend on Sundays recently. Please pray that the Holy Spirit would sustain their faith while they're absent and that God would open the door for them to return to us as soon as possible.

  • Ciaran Kelleher , Montrose

Give thanks for the ordination and induction of Ciaran Kelleher to Grace Church, Montrose, his wife Sarah, and their son Tigh as they prepare to begin life and ministry in Montrose. Pray that the Lord would work mightily in that congregation and town.

Our Mission Partners

  • Charleston Church Plant, Dundee
Pray that they would be able to find a suitable worker/s to replace Craig when he moves to Galashiels.

  • Bethany Marsh, Friends International
Pray that we would wrap things up well with those students who are going home for the summer or otherwise leaving Aberdeen having finished university. Pray also for the new student who does "not want to study the Bible, but [who does] want to listen to it" and is now going to church with Bethany.

Our World

  • Ukraine
Pray for those suffering in Ukraine, for peace to return and for their loss to be limited. Pray that the Lord would restrain the violence. Pray especially for Christian in Ukraine not to lose faith, but to look to Christ and cling to him in their loss.

If you have any intimations or prayer points please email them by 5 pm on Thursday.
