Little Lambs – Helpers RequiredLittle Lambs are looking for some volunteers to help out on a Friday morning. Numbers have been rising steadily since re-opening last September – there are currently around 40 families registered although only 20 or so attend each week (which can be up to 30 children). Mums enjoy this flexibility as they do not have to come along every week to ensure a place, unlike many other groups in the city.
In the past, 6 helpers were present each week but currently, there are just 3 plus 2 mums with young children. It would therefore be great if a couple more people were available each week for tasks such as answering the door and greeting families, helping with singing (not obligatory!), and tidying up at the end. This extra help would allow for time to have more meaningful conversations with mums and carers.
If you have some free time on a Friday please consider volunteering. You wouldn’t have to commit to every week, and even coming along for the first hour or the last hour would be a great help. Little Lambs runs from 9.30-11.30 am and a good cup of tea/ coffee and a cake is guaranteed!
Please speak to Rachel Stewart if you would like to help.
We are very thankful to God for a growing crèche in Bon Accord with a fantastic, reliable team of volunteers. At the moment there are 3 volunteers weekly on a rolling rota on duty every 5 weeks, which has been working well as many volunteers are committed to taking turns on other rotas, so a huge thank you to you all for your continued support!
As the crèche is growing we need to have 5 volunteers weekly. This means I would be looking for at least another 5-10 volunteers. I would like to appeal to the congregation for help so that the current volunteers do not need to be on the rota more often than they are already and if possible to share the workload with more volunteers. So if you have been on the rota in the past and would like to serve in this way again, please speak to either myself or the safeguarding officers Margaret Ferguson and Catriona Macleod.
Also, if you have not been helping in crèche previously and have experience working with under 3s. We can have a chat and discuss how to go through the application process.
Finally, I would urge you all to pray for ways you and others can serve God. Please also continue to pray for wisdom on how we can support parents throughout the many different stages children go through. As we know childhood experiences shape their future in many ways.

As a church, we are thankful to God to be able to share our financial resources generously with our mission partners in Aberdeen, Scotland and around the World. The full list of our mission partners for 2022 can be found in the February newsletter.
In response to God’s grace given freely to us, we seek to give cheerfully and sacrificially, so that others too may know His grace.

- Pray for Anne, our student worker, as she meets with the students week by week for conversation and Bible Study. Pray that God would help her as she builds relationships with them and points them to Christ.
- Little Lambs – Praise God for all the Mums, Dads, and Grandparents who come along to Little Lambs Parent and Toddler group week by week. Pray that friendships would be made and that opportunities would be given to share the love of Christ. Pray also that new helpers would be found to help with the running of Little Lambs week by week.
- Pray for God's blessing on the Welcome Meal on 6th March, that those who come along would feel welcomed and it would be a time of good fellowship.
- Cumbernauld
Please pray for our leadership team during this time of vacancy, and for the Interim Moderator, Rev Ivor MacDonald, Coatbridge, as we go about filling this vacancy with the man of God's choice. Pray for those who supply, and the elders who take Prayer Meetings and some evening services.
- Covenant Church Newmilns
The shifting sands of the past two years have left us feeling like we’re just treading water and keeping afloat. Please pray for wisdom for the session, development group, and congregation as we consider what it will look like to regain some momentum and to be a healthy church in and for our community.
- Worthingtons – Training Leaders International (TLI)
Pray for Jonathan as he travels to Uganda at the start of March to train leaders in the book of Revelation. Please pray for the 40 men and women whom he will train in ‘Understanding and Communicating Apocalyptic Literature’ (Revelation). Pray also for Lynsey, Anya and Lydia at home in Minneapolis.
- Ukraine
Let us call on God in prayer to ask that the hostilities would end swiftly and that God will protect the people of Ukraine caught up in an unwanted war. Pray that God will watch over the church in both Russia and Ukraine and allow her to hold out the peace and hope of the gospel with great boldness amidst such awful events.
