Updated Rules for Gathered Worship at Bon Accord:

The church building is now open for gathered worship.  The 50-person cap has been lifted/modified as from Monday 26 April 2021. The numbers allowed are  determined by the size of the building and the ability to maintain 2m social distancing.  By using the gallery, the numbers can be significantly increased subject to careful stewarding of the congregation.  In this regard it is anticipated that those in the gallery will exit the building at the end of the service by way of the north tower door. The legislation states ‘that places of worship are not eligible to apply reduced distancing of 1m’.

Registering in advance remains essential for Test and Protect and the additional requirement has been introduced for every worshipper’s details to be collected rather than just a lead contact.  This will be reflected in the online form that will be sent out each week via email.  These should be completed and submitted by the requested time (Wednesday at 9pm) to allow for processing.

Information on changes to the church building layout and operating procedures for people in the building is available on the church website and this will be updated to reflect the above changes. Included in this information is the Scottish Government guidance stating that it is mandatory for members of the congregation to always wear a face mask when in the church building.

.

Sunday School and Crèche:

Creche and Sunday school for children under 7 will be held this Sunday and from next Sunday will resume for all primary children. Emailed Sunday school lessons will stop being sent out after this weekend.

Women for Mission AGM:

The Annual General Meeting will take place by Zoom on Saturday 22 May at 2pm. We will be giving thanks for funds raised in 2020/21 Project 'Embracing the World with the Touch of the Gospel' and launching a brand new project for 2021/22. As well as updates from recipients of recent projects (Operación San Andrés and Scripture Union), we will enjoy some lovely singing by CJ Macdonald and Anna Macleod. Anne Fraser will also deliver a tribute to the late Elizabeth Graham, who was a loyal supporter of WfM and who served for many years on the committee.

You can watch the Annual Meeting live on our YouTube Channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHj-9sMybuRNKXEKF4WEnLA
