Cords and Student hospitality: We have two schemes which link students and young workers with other members of the congregation;

Cords: The idea of this scheme is fairly straightforward; two students are allocated to an older member of the congregation, and the idea is that the trio meet on a regular basis for prayer, discipleship, mentoring and friendship.  Your participation is encouraged!

Student Hospitality: The premise of this is also simple;  a group of students is allocated to willing host families and individuals within the congregation, and the idea is that the hosts invite the students in question to their home for a meal at least once a term.

If you're able and willing to care for and help students and young workers through either or both Cords and Hospitality (which we hope you are) please contact Donald or Anne Smith.

Ladies Bible Study: The ladies Bible study will be held at 10am on Wednesday 8 November in the small hall. We will begin our new book “Prayers of the Old Testament”. All ladies are welcome. Foe more details speak to Anne Smith

November Communion:  We look forward to welcoming the Rev. Iver Martin, Principal of Edinburgh Theological Seminary, as our guest preacher over our Communion weekend (10th to 12th November). The communion weekend is an appropriate occasion for folks to become members of the congregation be that by profession of faith or by transfer from another congregation. If you would like to become a member of the congregation or would like to know a little bit more of what this involves or means please speak to or e-mail David (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.)'.

Foodbank - Tesco National Collection: The Tesco national collection is to take place from Thursday 30 Nov to Saturday 2 Dec.  We will be covering the Tesco Danestone store.  If you can spare an hour or two on any of these dates then please speak to Anne Smith or Gordon Ferguson. It basically involves handing out leaflets and receiving any donations. Thanks in advance.

Blythswood Shoeboxes: Wrapped shoeboxes are now available in the Foyer Café for anyone who would like to take one (leaflets with all the details and item checklists are available on the entrance table). Please consider filling a box or donating some items and bringing some joy to someone less fortunate this Christmas. Filled boxes should be returned on Sunday 5thNovember

Glorious 2018: Leaflets about the Glorious conference for women are available now on the table at the door. This will be held in February. Tickets are available from Aberdeen box office.
