Bible and Bagels:  We meet at 10am in the Session meeting room. We will continue the R.C. Sproul series ‘Dust to Glory’, working our way through the New Testament.

Sole Mates: This month’s walk will be at Dunecht Estate on Monday 9 September meeting at 1.30pm. The meeting place is outside the entrance gates to the estate at Dunecht. If you need a lift or more details please speak to Wilma, Isobel or Rob.
This is a good opportunity to get exercise, enjoy the countryside and get to know each other better.  Dogs welcome!

Girls Bible Study: This group will be starting on Thursday 12 September at 7.30pm looking at a study based on Exodus. For further details and location please speak to Katie or Rhiannon. This group would welcome new people and is for students and young(ish) women in the congregation.

Teens activities: The teens fellowship will meet today for a discussion on “What does it mean to become a Christian”. Teens group will meet on Saturday 14 September at 10am at the church for a photo scavenger hunt.

Explore (Oct – Dec 2019): It is now time to order the next issue of the Explore daily Bible readings as the readings in the current issue of Explore finish at the end of September.  The next volume runs from October to the end of December 2019. The cost is £4.50 per copy, but it is well worth it as there are ninety-two dated and numbered daily Bible readings to help you understand clearly the message and challenge of the Word of God.

We will automatically reorder for those folks who purchased a copy of the previous issue, but please send an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. if you:

Generation 19 takes place at the start of September. It consists of evangelistic initiatives run by churches throughout Scotland, See https://generation-mission.org/ for more information. What are we doing at Bon Accord?

Sunday 8th: Books will be available at church to give to friends and family with the aim of prompting thought and discussion about the Christian faith. These will be Mez McConnel’s testimony, 'Is There Anybody Out There' and David Robertson’s book on Jesus, 'Magnificent Obsession: Why Jesus is great'.

Thursday 12th: Bon Accord is hosting the Friends International welcome meal for RGU international students.

Friday 20th: We are planning to put on a Chinese mid autumn 'moon cake festival' on Friday 20 September aimed at the newly arriving Chinese overseas students, as well as people from the Aberdeen Chinese community. Members of Bon Accord will also be invited. Eugene and Carol are going to be heading this up but we are seeking volunteers to help. If you are willing to get involved then please contact either Christian or Eugene.

Courses in Aberdeen: There are two events in the Aberdeen area on the 21 September. “The Gender Agenda” hosted by Trinity and taking place in The Mission and “Cast your Cares” at Banchory Christian Fellowship. Further details of these events can be found in the September newsletter.
