Little Lambs

Little Lambs meets every Friday morning from 9:30 to 11:30am and is for babies and children up to the age of 5. The group runs during the school term. We meet in the large church hall where we divide the hall into two. One half is a quiet area where babies can play on mats or with age appropriate toys. In this area table top activities such as play dough, colouring, building blocks, jigsaws and role play toys are available. On the other side of the hall, for toddlers and older children we have bikes, trikes, scooters, a slide, a small trampoline, a tent and a tunnel, where the children can interact and let off some energy. We let the children have freeplay for about an hour while parents arrive. At around 10:30am, the children sit together for a snack of fruit, cheese, yogurts, biscuits and juice. The parents at this point enjoy tea and coffee and a cake while the children are all sitting down.

For the last 15 minutes of Little Lambs we gather in a smaller room to sit in a circle and have a singing time of both nursery, action and rhyme songs. This is a time that the children look forward to every week. We always welcome any new mums, dads or carers to join us. A small donation of £1 every week is suggested to cover the cost of the snack and the upkeep of equipment. To join us on a Friday morning please ring the doorbell at the side door of the church building.
